And the winner is…

The Joycelyn Elders Prize for leftwing folly goes to Frederica Wilson, the U.S. Representative for Florida’s 17th congressional district.
The Elders Prize, named in honor of Joycelyn Elders, surgeon general during the Clinton administration, is awarded as warranted to political and cultural figures who live up to her high standards of support for outlandish lefty ideals. Elders had the liberals running for political cover as she advocated for abortion rights, condoms in schools, drug legalization, and more that would not be appropriate for this blog.
We viewed only a few minutes of video before we became convinced that in Frederica Wilson we had found a woman capable of ridiculous announcements delivered with the seriousness and sincerity of Elders. Wilson served for many years as an Elementary School principal and then on the school board. Elected to the Florida House of Representatives, she served four years. She has hundreds of hats and wears one every day.
Last year she was elected, without opposition, to Congress and quickly learned what she needed to know. She now informs us that that national unemployment is exclusive to the African-American community and is caused by racism. She declares that the real enemy this country faces is the Tea Party. If you have any doubt of her genuineness, we encourage you to view the video.
Thank you Frederica Wilson, we look forward to the next time you stand before a microphone.
Frederica Wilson,
Joycelyn Elders in
Democratic Party,
Elders Prize
