Helen Thomas – Bigot

Helen Thomas, the dean of the White House press corps is a liberal by her own admission.  In 2006 she stated, “I was born a liberal, and I will be a liberal ’til the day I die.”  What she will not admit and what the mainstream liberal media will not confront is that Thomas is a bigot.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a bigot as someone “who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.”  Recently when asking a question about the Gaza Freedom Flotilla she described Israel’s actions as a, “deliberate massacre, an international crime.”  But she used even more callous language at a May 27th Jewish Heritage celebration at the White House.  At that celebration, Helen Thomas stated that Jews should, “get the hell out of Palestine,” and go back to Poland and Germany.  Below is the full text and video of what she said that day.

Rabbi Nessenoff: Any comments on Israel? We’re asking everbybody today, any comments on Israel?

Helen Thomas: Tell em to get the hell out of Palestine.
Nessenoff: Oh. Any better comments on Israel?
Thomas: (laughing) Remember, these people are occupied, and it’s their land. Not German, it’s not Poland.
Nessenoff: So where should they go and what should they do?
Thomas: They should go home!
Nessenoff: Where’s their home?
Thomas: Poland. Germany.
Nessenoff: So you’re saying the Jews should go back to Poland and Germany?
Thomas: And America and everywhere else.

The hurtful, hateful and intolerance language of Helen Thomas for a people attempting to regain and rebuild their ancient homeland qualifies as bigotry.
